Governance, Board of Directors, administration and management

In January 2007, CHC was created through the amalgamation of two organizations - Winhome, and the Windsor-Essex County Housing Corporation.

The City of Windsor is the sole shareholder of Windsor Essex CHC on behalf of the city of Windsor and the County of Essex.

The Corporation operates at an arm's length from the City, with a Board of Directors of 15 members. The board members are appointed by the City of Windsor and include City of Windsor Councilor representation, Essex County representation, members at large from the local community and 2 Tenant representatives.
