A NOTE FROM WINDSOR POLICE ABOUT PHYSICAL DISTANCING and GATHERINGS OF 5 PEOPLE

Posted: April 9, 2020

With a holiday long weekend upon us, the Windsor Police Service would like to remind the community of the vital importance of adhering to physical distancing directions from health experts

Auxiliary Officers will be working over the weekend and beyond, patrolling our parks to help share this important message of physical distancing. This year we must change our behaviour.

Windsor Police Service reminder is for everyone to continue their efforts and dedication to practice physical distancing during the holiday and beyond. Maintaining a 2 metre distance between persons is recommended.

We thank you for your continued support and understanding as we all work to defeat COVID-19.

Many Windsor Police will be working this holiday weekend, to enforce the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act (EMCPA) - specifically social gatherings of more than five people.

Violations carry a set fine of $750. They could carry punishments of up to 1-year imprisonment or a fine of up to $100,000 for an individual

CHC has distributed the following notice throughout our buildings to remind our residents of the importance of following the recommendations, guidelines and regulations from our Public Health professionals.
