The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit issues heat warning to inform residents of heat events with the Stay Cool Windsor-Essex program. When heat warnings are issued, you should take extra precautions to protect yourself and loved ones from heat related health risks.
An extended heat warning is issued when three or more than three consecutive days are forecasted to have a daytime high temperature greater than or equal to 31°C and a nighttime temperature greater than or equal to 21°C or a humidex greater than 42 degrees Celsius.
