With a heat warning in effect, the Town of Essex wants to make sure residents and visitors have a place to stay cool.
Centres that will be open include Essex Recreation Complex, Essex Centre Sports Complex and Harrow and Colchester South Community Centre.
Temperatures are expected to rise to 41 or 106 with the humidex today.
