INFORMATION FOR CHC RESIDENTS - BE SAFE - FLOODING IN YOUR HOME

AFTER HOURS INFORMATION:

IF YOU HAVE WATER IN YOUR BASEMENT:

  • Contact your insurance provider.

 

  • Report flooding through our website. wechc.com http://www.wechc.com/maintenance-request-form.

E-services maintenance request, automatically sends an email to your district office and a tracking number to you.

  • Contact your District Office, we are experiencing heavy call volume and message mail boxes may be full.
  • Please call our after-hours service at 519-973-4469 and provide your address and contact information. CHC will be contacting you tomorrow, (Friday September 30, 2016).

Enwin Utilities and Electrical Safety Authority have provided the following information

When flooding has occurred
1.        Do not enter your basement if you know or suspect water has risen above the level of electrical outlets, baseboard heaters, and furnace or is near your electrical panel.


  1.        In the event that flood water has risen above outlets, baseboard heaters or your furnace, covers power cords, or is near the electrical panel, contact our after-hours service at 519 -973-4469.

Windsor Police and Windsor Fire are asking residents to avoid driving on flooded roads if possible and to not call them for non-life threatening issues, as emergency lines need to remain open.

It is recommended that showers, laundry washing and any other water usage that will increase the burden on the sewer system be avoided during the rain event.
