CHC Is Modifying Services In Compliance With Provincewide Emergency Brake

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT CHC SERVICE LEVELS – COVID-19 UPDATE

The provincial government has activated the “provincewide emergency brake” as of Saturday, April 3rd, at 12:01 a.m. 

Windsor Essex CHC will modify services to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community and comply with the new emergency shutdown provincial restrictions.

 While offices are closed to in-person service, residents can access services via telephone or electronic means. Please visit www.wechc.com or call 519-254-1681.

 CHC is changing our service level to help mitigate the risk of transmission of COVID-19 within our community. These changes will impact our response, and wait times may be longer than usual. 

 CHC’s MAIN OFFICE ( 945 McDougall Street) will remain open, but at reduced hours and with limited capacity.

  • Monday and Friday by appointment only by calling 519-254-1681  Advanced screening of all visitors to the CHC Main office will be in effect.
  • Reduced office hours: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10 am – 3 pm ( phone, email or web services only)
  • CHC will only provide appointments for the signing of leases and delivery of keys for new residents.

 DISTRICT SITE OFFICES

  • Are closed to the public at this time.
  • You can connect with your District Office by phone, email and our website www.wechc.com.
  • Our service change will not impact emergency repairs or services. These services will be prioritized over non-emergency maintenance or service calls.

CENTRAL HOUSING REGISTRY- WINDSOR ESSEX COUNTY ( CHR)

  • Remains closed to the public at this time.
  • You can connect with CHR by phone, email and through the website chrwec.com
  • CHR staff are available to answer your questions by email or phone, Monday-Friday 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM

 For those employees required to report to work at their regular locations, CHC maintains a safe and healthy workplace and complies with the best public health and occupational health advice available.
